Of ' Arts

We are Elna and Ot, the sibling duo behind D’Ars.

This project was born from a shared sensitivity towards the past, a fascination with objects that have lived before us and with the hands that once shaped them.

We grew up surrounded by art and clothing, with a deep respect for craftsmanship, shaped early on by our maternal grandmother, a tailor, who instilled in us a lasting passion for garments, materials, and the act of making.

The name D’Ars comes from our paternal grandfather’s hometown, Ars (Sant Martí d’Ars), and also resonates with the idea of “of arts.”

It is a nod to our background and to the way we understand clothing: as a form of applied art, functional, tactile, and deeply connected to process.

The One-of-a-Kind Concept

At D’Ars, we work exclusively with antique, vintage, and deadstock textiles sourced through travels, flea markets, brocantes, and forgotten archives. Tablecloths, bed linens, curtains, upholstery fabrics — materials that carry marks of time, use, and memory.

Each fabric is studied, respected, and carefully reinterpreted. Its origin, weight, and imperfections guide the design, resulting in garments that are never repeated and cannot be replicated.
No two pieces are the same — not by concept, but by nature.

D’Ars exists somewhere between what was and what can be. We see clothing as a bridge: connecting heritage with contemporary silhouettes, antique materials with modern needs, and memory with everyday life.

Craft as a way of working

All our pieces are designed and handmade in small quantities between Barcelona and El Montseny. Our approach is slow and intentional: from sourcing to pattern making, from cutting to finishing, every step is done with attention to detail and longevity.

We believe craftsmanship is not about nostalgia, but about responsibility — creating garments meant to be worn, lived in, and passed on.

D’Ars exists somewhere between what was and what can be. We see clothing as a bridge: connecting heritage with contemporary silhouettes, antique materials with modern needs, and memory with everyday life.
